before anyone starts talking nonsense about this article being too short, or otherwise incomplete, thats because this is really all the information that exists about this man. anything more than this that people might dredge up elsewhere on the internet, is most likely fantasy or fabrication, which are sadly ubiquitous in martial arts history. however, before i wrote this article, there had been a xingyi page on wikipedia for several years, with links to articles about some of its lineage masters, but none for the first four: ji jike, cao wuji, dai long bang and li neng ran. i have now rectified this deficit and i will be very unamused, if anybody does anything imbecilic to them, like one person did a few days ago by putting an utterly unjustified speedy deletion notice on one of them. but i am very grateful to a couple of people who then intervened, by helping in various ways and offering advice. several people have also added various improvements to the articles and this is a excellent thing, but i think it should be borne in mind, as i said at the start of this paragraph, that all four articles are probably condemned to never be that long or complete, just because the historical record is grossly deficient here. but that is certainly better than no articles at all, on people who had they not lived and trained hard and taken disciples, we would not now have any xingyi to practice at all.Cleobolus (talk) 21:17, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
