Notability[edit]

Writing a few books and being interviewed on TV doesn't establish notability. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.224.68.73 (talk) 00:34, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Stickley is well-known within the credit union and banking industry as a frequent guest speaker for conferences and meetings. Also, "being interviewed on TV" diminishes the fact that he has appeared on several national television shows as a security expert and is often the "go to" guy for many of these shows for any security issue or breach. If you look at his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/JimStickley/videos, you will see dozens of these appearances, which establishes notability. For establishing notability, we are generally looking for sources that are talking about the subject rather than ones that are talking with the subject. --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:23, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Simply doing a Google Search on Jim Stickley easily shows that he has established notability. You can go through several pages of Google results all referring back to Stickley and his established position in the cyber security world. His discoveries and knowledge have been talked about, referenced and quoted for 20 years and it is clear that he is far more than just someone who has written a few books and been interviewed on TV.
