Film?

[edit]

There's a character named Joan Holloway in the 2002 film Secretary, does anyone know if the two are related (based off of, writer liked the name, etc) or is it just a strange coincidence? 24.107.185.251 (talk) 23:46, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Joan's partnership and Harry's comments in "To Have and to Hold"

[edit]

Be careful not to assume Harry, or anyone else outside of the partners, knows Joan slept with Herb to "earn" her partnership. The men had made snide remarks in earlier episodes that Jane had slept her way into her Office Manager role, and Peggy fired the male creative with whom she'd jokingly recited "Joan/Marsha" soap opera lines after he made misogynistic/sexually harassing comments about Joan and drew a lewd picture of Joan and Lane engaged in oral sex.
