[edit]

This is the first edition of an article on Professor John Bremer. More will be forthcoming as facts are secured and verified. Professor Bremer is best known for having created the prototype School Without Walls, and he was honoured by (name forthcoming - believe it was the American Institute of Architects), as one of the leading educational innovators of the 1960's. His career has been long, varied and his imprint on history in both the fields of education and Socratic study can be found throughout the world.

When one lives as long as Prof Bremer, and remain active, there can be interesting effects, such as an institution writing its history and then discovering the founder is still alive, intellectually sharp and when invited - gives a speech that demonstrates how history is better written after everyone is dead, not around to challenge the likely-stories woven by successors (This reportedly happened in the UK). Never-the-less, the best time to record history is when the subject is still alive and facts can be confirmed by the prime eyewitness.

At present Professor Bremer has returned to an institution he established approximately 40 years prior - then a bright young man making his mark on education, now a senior elder honoured by that same institution.

This contributor will next seek to make contact with Professor Bremer to secure more information. Watch this space.
