As manager to Johnnie Casson from 1985 to 2002 I thought his career had done enough to deserve an entry.
I have also been a close friend since the 1960's so feel I can verify the facts as being authentic.

If you are his manager, then this article probably constitutes original research and conflict of interest, both of which violate Wikipedia policy. Another one of Wiki's policies is verifiability, not truth. This means that all information included in the article needs to be referenced in reliable, siginificant third party sources. You personally verifying the facts as "being authentic" is blatant conflict of interest and does not meet Wikipedia standards for verifiability. Wikipedia also has a policy of neutrality, which is non-negotiable. I didn't tag the article for deletion as it seems (at least at face value) that this biography meets notability guidelines, but it needs massive cleanup. Tanthalas39 (talk) 23:20, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for the help. I am new to this. I think you missed on the top line here I ceased being his manager in 2002 so cannot see how in 2007 that would be a conflict of interest. I have removed the quotes which I can only verify by showing people the letters in my possession. I have also tried to clean up some of the lines which came from early publicity material --Comediansuk (talk) 23:40, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- The overall point is that you are a friend and are creating anectodal evidence from memory. You could even be creating this from direct conversation from the man himself and it still would be far from meeting Wikipedia's verifiability policy. I went online and it is clear this article should exist - notability is established - you should take some time and familiarize yourself with The Five Pillars of Wikipedia. I would be happy to help you with any questions you have! Tanthalas39 (talk) 00:21, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have done some rewriting/copyediting/restructuring, to try and address the issues, Tanthalas. I would note, however, that there are no references yet, and the language may still reflect Comediansuk's COI. Cheers, Lindsay 15:02, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
