Article subject satisfies WP:AUTHOR as he has a best selling book. Article seems pretty neutral, although needs expansion. I'm not seeing the problem. The Garbage Skow (talk) 19:51, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My changes

[edit]

I think Silver Seren's use of the connected contributor tag is pretty on the money, so I decided to do a quick fact checking on the sources and have made the needed changes. Since this article had possible POV issues, I removed content where I would normally just tag it with a citation needed. In the lead section I changed the wording to reflect the sources in some areas, like the section that listed Gordon's clients. Looking at the sources, I wouldn't classify them as clients. They are organizatins that have used his book. I also removed several of the clients listed as they were not substantiated by reliable sources. Also in the lead section, I found that the Washington Post and U.S. News and World Report were the only sources that actually covered his work. The Wall Street Journal was a passing mention by someone who had read one of his books and the New York Post involved Gordon being quoted about a topic other than himself. The Forbes coverage was actually a commentary article on the Frobes website that was written by Gordon himself, so I don't think that constitutes independent coverage.

The rest of the article, finally, looks pretty good, except that I'm not sure this should be rated as a top importance article? I'll leave that discussion to someone who might know better. LawrenceDuncan (talk) 16:29, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well done on these edits. I also agree on your questioning the importance rating--"Top" level articles are things like Capitalism, Income tax, and Inflation; Warren Buffett only clocks in at "Mid", for crying out loud--so I'm updating this one's to "Low". --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 00:24, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
