Josiah Quincy is from an old New England family. He was involved in supporting the Revolution in many direct and indirect ways. While I appreciate they reasons this page was deleted in 2005, apparently for lack of any meaningful content, there are many links from other pages that were broken because this page did not exist. So I will try to add some meaningful content.

Please feel free to correct this page, add more information and of course (for the lazy academics who love to post huge negative banners rather than do some research themselves) add citations :) Respectfully Rcollman (talk) 20:20, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Per MOS:FULLNAME, the lede sentence of a biographical article is supposed to contain only the given/birthname of the individual (not their military rank or an abbreviation of that rank).
