Crater
[edit]The article and biographical source in Spain say that the British Astronomical Association named a crater after him in 1953. But this reference Lunar features does not list him, though it does list many craters for Louis Pasteur. The List of people with craters of the Moon named after them has neither Pasteur nor Pastor. Does anyone have a better source on the lunar crater ? — Rgdboer (talk) 03:19, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hello,
- FYI, I redacted the French article based on the Spanish one. And I've asked to the Astronomy project of French Wikipedia if they can help us on this one.
- I'll let you know.

- Hello again,
- Here is what happened: https://the-moon.wikispaces.com/Faraday : ″Faraday G was called Reypastor by Hugh Percy Wilkins and Antonio Paluzie-Borrell, but the IAU did not accept that name.″
- So, no crater is called after him, but we can mention that there had been an intempt. I corrected the Spanish article; I let you do it here, as I don't know if I should replace the existing information or just add what's here above.

Thank you for such timely and complete information that lends detail to the Rey Pastor story. — Rgdboer (talk) 21:15, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- No problem ;)
- Here's an another source, where the proposal is clearly stated as not received by the IAU: https://books.google.fr/books?id=aV1i27jDYL8C&pg=PA230&dq=Wilkins+%22reypastor%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjIlLD71qnKAhUGXRQKHTkjC6AQ6AEIHjAA#v=onepage&q=Wilkins%20%22reypastor%22&f=false

Copied
[edit]The biography in this article is a copy of Anna Remero de Pablo's article at the CSIS. A rewrite is necessary. — Rgdboer (talk) 01:07, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
