I propose editing this article for language and content. There seems to be a good deal of intermixing between the "Katwijk" page and the "Katwijk aan Zee" page, with most of the information about Zee found on the Katwijk page. This meant that the articles for Rijnsburg, Valkenburg and even Katwijk aan den Rijn were rather strong, but the article for Katwijk aan Zee quite weak. Any suggestions are welcome. For the time being I've deposited the Katwijk aan Zee information here. I'll turn to it shortly. Schildewaert (talk) 08:04, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I've finished editing the article. I've not added to it substantially, but anyone interested in Katwijk aan Zee is welcome to add more. The article seems to have too much history in it and could perhaps be balanced out with a more modern overview of the beach resort. (Although I suppose most of that is at the Katwijk page.) I feel there was a tendency here to over-romanticise the fishing village aspect and to dwell on minor (and perhaps even dubious) points relating to dialect and religion. This is still in there but I toned it down a bit. I added a more flattering photo of the beach. There are other photos of Katwijk aan Zee in Wikimedia Commons, but the article is not long enough to include them all. If anyone wants to improve this article, please feel free. I'll keep an eye on it and edit any language problems. Schildewaert (talk) 08:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I think Wikipedia could use a separate article on Brittenburg. Schildewaert (talk) 08:52, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Should it not read: Christianised by English rather than British (ancient Britons(?))?
[edit]It reads:
The area was Christianised by British and Irish missionaries around the 9th century. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:411:1600:8012:EE22:A7D8:FA6F (talk) 02:08, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
