Does anyone else know whether he is the only horse to be favourite for the Champion Chase and Gold Cup (Crisp might have been favourite for both). There's a good chance Kauto Star's the only horse to be favourite for those two races and the King George. --Davebesag 23:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

This is obviously written by a fan (not that there's anything wrong with being a KS fan- he's my favourite horse)and at times deviates from NPOV with terms like "excellent", "immaculate" & "thrashing". I hate to do this, but I think I'm going to have to edit the article to make it more boring and appropriate for an encyclopedia entry. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 12:53, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Who cares? Bunch of silly low class missies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.157.186.23 (talk) 07:26, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still POV

[edit]

I agree with the points made by Tigerboy1966 above. It's perhaps understandable that after the horse's win today someone would want to add their appreciation of his achievements, but as things stand the article is not really encyclopedic and in fact borders on a fansite style at times. For example, "The 2011 season has shown that Kauto Star is not yet ready to hand over any Golden Chalice to the young pretender until he himself achieves his destiny in winning the Betfair, King George and Gold cup in the same season again." -- that's in no way encyclopedic, NPOV tone. I don't know enough about NH racing to edit fairly, but I hope that someone who does will. Kauto Star is one of the truly great NH horses (I do know *that* much!) and deserves an article written to the best possible standards. 86.185.94.206 (talk) 20:48, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Duplication of paragraph

[edit]

The paragraph on the horse's death currently appears twice, once in the lead and once in the Retirement section. We need to decide which is the better place for it. If it's the latter, which I believem then the section should be renamed "Retirement and death". JH (talk page) 20:44, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I've done it few minutes ago without looking here first. I took the example of Secretariat page where Death is a sub-category beneath Retirement, hope its ok. Maok3 (talk) 20:56, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
