Place of death[edit]

The Oxford DNB states that he died in Oxford, no mention that he returned to Amersham. Makes sense as he was working on research papers up to the last and that is where he lived after retirement. Chrysippo (talk) 12:51, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Education section[edit]

I have revised the section dedicated to Oakley's education because whoever originally wrote it had insufficient knowledge of the English education system, confusing for example "University College School, London", offering secondary education like a US high school, with University College, London, an institution of tertiary education able to award BSc and PhD degrees.
