Hi there,

I dont think this page should be deleted as Khan Manuel is Internationally recognized as a top guitar player. His album 'The Knight' went to #1 at Guitar Nine records, which hosts over 1500 guitarists from all over the world and these include all the big named players.

In addition he has been sponsored by international guitar Icons Ibanez, and has also recorded and performed with some of the worlds best musicians.

Warm regards

Article Issues

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I have removed the Speedy Deletion notice as you have made an assertion of notability for Manuel. The article still has issues.

  • First, I have tagged a number of statements in the article that need a citation from a verifiable, reliable source. These sources should not be Manuel's own website, that of his label or sponsor, blogs or similar sites.
  • Second, please read WP:MUSICBIO - it has a list of the criteria that must be met to show notability.
  • Third, future plans, such as his tour, are not normally included in an article unless there has been coverage in reliable sources on the tour. Rumors and vague statements do not meet that requirement. See WP:CRYSTAL for more info on that.

The article, while improved enough to get past a speedy delete in my opinion, could still be deleted via the Prod process or the Article for Deletion process. Good luck, GregJackP (talk) 14:22, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Khan Manuel

[edit]

Hi GregJack,

Thank you for the removal of the Speedy deletion stamp.

I have fixed up the citations that have been asked for and have deleted certain pieces of information ie that Manuel was born in Invercargill, I read that in an article but am unable to retrieve it.

In addition the sentence that he is touring Europe, Japan and U.S has also been deleted, although it is stated in interviews, and on website content.

Finally, notability can be traced to The Knight album going to #1 at Guitar9 Records in the U.S. Guitar9 is the biggest distributor of guitar orientated albums with over 1500 Artists from all over the world. The guitarists on there are the finest players in the world with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Benson and numerous other players distributing through it. G9 is a world wide chart and not a national one of top players globally.

Another notable fact is Manuel winning the Joe Satriani Ibanez Australia guitar competition when he was 18.

Khan is at present, well known as 1 of Australia's finest guitar players and this is of good notability as well. This is a link to a radio ad on Triple M in Australia. Triple M in Australia is the biggest Rock Channel - [1]
