Not Jewish[edit]

Article used to state "Gannon was born in a Jewish family", cited as follows:

"Jewish songwriters" (PDF). Virginia Commonwealth University. Retrieved 16 November 2013.

This is a dead link and seems only to have been a flyer for a travelling exhibition, A Fine Romance: Jewish songwriters, American Songs, 1910–1965. See http://www.ala.org/programming/nextbook/fineromance-ssn

However, Kim Gannon is specifically excluded from the otherwise all-Jewish list of Christmas songwriters in the Smithsonian's review of a book with the exact same name: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/jewish-songwriters-american-songs-143837609/

So, I have removed all references to Jewish ethnicity, and assumed good faith for a recent anon edit which stated Irish-American ancestry instead. A citation is still needed. – Fayenatic London 22:39, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
