Songs?

[edit]

I came here to find out the names of the songs Paul Robeson sings, to see if any have lasted. Could the titles be listed?--Hugh7 (talk) 03:11, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Kingsol2.jpg

[edit]

Image:Kingsol2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Free Download at Internet Archive

[edit]

The download cannot be found. Which seemed right, when you see that it's king solom_a_n in the link instead of solomon. But the movie cannot be found on archive.org anyways. May it be that it's still copyrighted? I mean, it's 72 years old! As I don't like to edit the Wikipages themselves (you have so many rules!), I post this into the discussion. First Movie adaption?

[edit]

There seems to be an earlier adaption from 1919. A silent movie. But I can't find it... :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.54.130.83 (talk) 23:32, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright status =

[edit]

I have deleted the link to the illicit hosting of this British film on Internet Archive. Created writer Michael Hogan did not die until 1977, so UK copyright subsists until the end of 2047. As a non-US film still under copyright in its country of origin on 1 January 1996, it is protected in the US for 95 years after publication, so to the end of 2042.
