Clarification suggestions
[edit]- they display good conformation, athletic ability, movement, and a lively temperament
- Out of this description, only the lively temperament thing is remarkable -- any horse breed with organised breeding (and proper breeding programmes) will have a good conformation, some athletic ability, and adequate movement. How does the breed's conformation compare to other breeds? Is it a light or heavy? Straight or arch necked? Wide or narrow headed? Large or thin boned? Etc. Pitke (talk) 21:29, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Kisber Felvers are capable of performing in all modern sport horse disciplines.
- I changed this sentence on my own. Any horse breed from Shetland ponies to Ardenners can be trained and used for almost any given equestrian sport, but that doesn't mean they all are contenders at the top. In horse breed articles, we generally want to know what the best strengths of the breed are, does it compete at the top level in any sport, is it traditionally used for a specific purpose? E.g. racing and eventing for Thoroughbreds, cattle management and stock horse sports for USA stock horse breeds, endurance for Arabians etc. If there have been international level winners or placements, it's good to mention it.
- Overall, this is a good beginning, I've seen far worse. Just be careful about vague statements. Pitke (talk) 21:29, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- I do agree it's improved, but would encourage anyone working on this article to use footnotes and sources as you go. Otherwise, we will just have to rewrite it again later because we won't know where the info came from. Montanabw(talk) 22:00, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
