The largest?[edit]

is this museum the largest collection of tanks in the world or something?

The largest collection of AFV's is in the Musée des Blindés at Saumur; the largest of tanks proper in the Bovington Tank Museum. Kubinka is probably the third largest though.--MWAK 07:27, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed Maus to Panzer VIII Maus so that it now correctly points to the tank, and not the graphic novel. Kytok 06:28, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The reason it is closed to foreigners[edit]

I saw the source but can the reason be put in the artical?(ForeverDEAD 23:26, 18 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

The site doesn't display the warning anymore. Will change the article accordingly. Strategia 15:34, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is the translation from the website's FAQ. Something about the "5-6 weeks in advance we need to know where are you staying/your interest/your background information" bit makes me think they're still deeply suspicious that some Western spy is going to sneak in and photograph their antique tanks for the CIA. Also makes me think they'll deny you permission to visit if they don't like your explanations:

Information for foreign visitors: tourists and the foreign company staff

I live in USA. In 2 months I am going to visit Russia as the usual tourist. How can I receive the permission and when you recommend me to send the request?
