The Socialist International website doesn't seem to include KDP on the members' list ( http://www.socialistinternational.org/maps/english/asia.htm ). So unless there's some evidence that it's joined recently, it should probably be removed - perhaps it was formerly a member? --86.133.243.52 22:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are part of the council, they have been invited to a number of meetings and are kept on terms with them. The reason why they aren't listed with the PUK is that they aren't as active in their meetings. There is also the issue that the KDP itself isn't a major ruling party in Iraq as a whole, only in the North. The PUK have Talabani as the president, so they would be granted greater membership status. --MercZ 17:25, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
