Dhow[edit]

Kuwait did not choose the dhow as its coat-of-arms. The shield shows nothing of the kind. The dhow is located between the wings of the single supporter. --Daniel C. Boyer 15:01, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article reassessed and graded as start class. --dashiellx (talk) 11:30, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wissam/Ouissam[edit]

Actually the translation from Arabic to English of "Wissam" is "Order" rather than "Medal". So in truth it is a 5 grade Order, with the lowest grade being a medal. Big Techs (talk) 17:15, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other Award Classes.[edit]

I have a link that has photos of all five classes but I need help/advice in added the photos to this article. The link is listed below.

Hmm. Interesting. The third, fourth and fifth classes appear to be in the wrong order. The fifth class medal is as shown in the current article (and is the one available from US official suppliers - the only one authorised for US wear) [1], and on your link as the fourth class. Mine - rightly as my rank in ages past - the fourth class, is the silver version with the cast star pattern [2], shown in the link as third class. The shiny gilt one with the pierced star pattern is the third class [3]. I think. I may have this all horribly wrong. Idrach (talk) 20:33, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've raised the issue with the owner of the reference page and he has agreed that the order of the pictures is wrong and will be changed. On that basis, if nobody shouts, I'll edit the main page tomorrow morning. Idrach (talk) 22:51, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, done. It would be nice if somebody could check the arabic writing on the second and first class awards. Idrach (talk) 07:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
