Đại Việt[edit]

Was this the king who renamed Vietnam "Đại Việt"? If so, shouldn't the article say this? Badagnani (talk) 04:28, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

No, 'Dai Co Viet' was renamed 'Dai Viet' by emperor Ly Thanh Tong (grandson of emperor Ly Thai To).123.20.9.159 (talk) 15:19, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

about Ly's ancestor[edit]

In Song dynasty's "Dream Pools Essay" (Meng Xi Bi Tan), it said that Ly came from Fujian. I did not read the book, but there are some studies show that he probably came from Southern China. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.171.158.154 (talk) 01:38, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
