Access to IVF for lesbians[edit]

IVF is allowed only for male-female couples. Sexual orientation is not a reason for refusal, but law requires the consent of a man who declares himself to be a partner (he does not have to be a husband). This includes single women, it is not intended lesbian discrimination, but the consequence of IVF being considered an infertility treatment. If lesbians get the signature of a man who claims to be the partner of the fertilized one, it's not a problem for them, but lesbian couple or single woman cannot formally apply. --176.123.13.14 (talk) 07:58, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
