Copyright violation?
[edit]CorenSearchBot appears to have been a bit overzealous. The information on http://www.ww2awards.com/person/34661 explicitly references the same source that I took this information from, i.e. the 3AD website. Moreover, no copyright is asserted at either WW2 award or the 3AD website. Peter phelps (talk) 07:01, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe you should provide more relevant additional sources to the article to improve it. All articles don't need to rely on just one source. Minimac94 (talk) 07:02, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Korean War veteran?
[edit]Infobox lists service in the Korean War, but no other info in the bio. Seems unlikely, as he lost a leg in 1944. Yorkist (talk) 23:54, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- He may have had his leg amputated, BUT...as one reads on: "Lafayette G. Pool retired from the U.S. Army on September 19, 1960 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Second Class at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas." 80.151.9.187 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:03, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
Boxing history?
[edit]Some information on his boxing: https://crashmacduff.wordpress.com/tag/lafayette-g-pool/ "While in England, Pool did some more boxing. In Liverpool in early 1944 he boxed against Joe Louis. It was meant to be an exhibition bout, but Pool got a little to enthusiastic and rapped Louis a few good ones. Louis put his arm around Pool and said, “White man, I’m going to teach you a big lesson. “He then proceeded to give Pool a good going over, although there was no knockout." 1ragincajun (talk) 23:55, 30 November 2018 (UTC) 1ragincajun
