- You are only accusing not discussing I am afraid. Chanaka L (talk) 07:18, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- The lead of an article should summarise its content. Much of the current content of the lead section currently is not based on anything in the rest of the article, and should be removed. Maproom (talk) 07:22, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Maproom Can you point out one thing that is not based on anything, I am willing to discuss and come to an agreement. Chanaka L (talk) 07:27, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Chanaka, you are right. I withdraw my criticism above. (Indeed, the lead almost duplicates the content of the article, and could be significantly shorter.)
- A current problem is that the article is almost all about the ownership and structure of the company, with hardly anything about the tiles it makes. (What are "mosaic tiles"? Are they tessera for use in mosaics, or tiles portraying mosaics, or something else?) Maproom (talk) 12:34, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Point taken. In future, I will add information on the products of the company. I had to google myself to know what mosaic tiles are. Apparently, mosaic tiles are some type of decorative bathroom wall tiles.
- The importance of Lanka Tiles is that Lanka Tiles and its intermediary parent Royal Ceramics control a near-monopoly of the tile market in Sri Lanka. As a result, the price of bathroom fittings has nearly tripled for average consumers. Cheers, Chanaka L (talk) 13:41, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
