Somehow this topic entirely missed the concept of land leasing. Perhaps that ought to be included somewhere, or at least include a link to another page on land leasing since the format of a land lease is somewhat different. Isaac Tanner Madsen (talk) 01:13, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nearly every link to this page is about leasing rather than concession (territory). I'm going to fix the handful of concession (territory) links, add a disambig template to leasing and turn this page back into a redirect to leasing. --squirrel 20:22, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For English law this article is completely wrong. I guess it might be right in the US, but it should explicitly state this. For example, English law (common law) doesn't explicitly require rent for a lease to be created ( see LPA 1925, s205, (1) (xxvii)). Leases may not be for indefinite duration (Prudential Assurance v LRB [1992]), and the lease is not a legal document, the deed is. I'm not really an expert in this area, so I don't want to change things, but someone should really have a look. If no-one wants to, then I'll stop back when I have time and do it myself. 131.111.200.200 (talk) 12:45, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

The difference between a lease and a rental agreement is not clear. -- 195.37.205.30 (talk) 09:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This Article is Too Narrowly Focused

[edit]

I came looking for Capital vs. Operating Leases.
Many other things besides land are leased.
199.175.128.1 (talk) 15:58, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Finance lease aka Capital lease, and Operating lease both have articles, referenced in the 'See also' section. William Avery (talk) 16:04, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[[ Comments on Land Lease are also very narrow. Many types of property can be leased; A sharecropper may lease a field to grow crops, A renter may lease an apartment or home as a residence, A business man may lease a store front with a common lease, double or tripple net lease, An automobile may be leased, and furnature many be leased to decorate an apartment or home Jobeard (talk) 17:21, 22 January 2010 (UTC)]].[reply]

Breaking a Lease

[edit]

Breaking a fixed term tenancy agreement normally occurs when there is an issue, such as sale of the property, repeated breaches of an agreement, or by order by a tribunal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.69.56.52 (talk) 09:43, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong connections with German articles

[edit]

truth been told: I think the meaning of Lease and Pacht do not 100% match, but the current state is totally messed up. I gave up changing it, because something is always blocking the change. Please do someone who knows how to edit the connections. -- Thunderbolt (talk) 17:15, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
