I'm not convinced Granada ITV made this show. I have a very strong recollection that it was made by ATV for ITV. There are a couple of clips on YouTube that seem to support this. Anyone know for sure? JKMMOC (talk) 01:02, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The imdb Database does list the show as Granada. It's 'companion' show "Get It Together" was definitely Granada, as was "Clapperboard". All produced by Muriel Young, so seems unlikely they were made by different ITV companies. TVArchivistUK (talk) 01:08, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was definately made by Granada. In its first incarnation Jan-April 1969 the show was called Discotheque. Ayshea debuted on the edition broadcast on 19th March 1969 which coincidently was the program being broadcast on Yorkshire TV when the Emley Moor TV mast collapsed. When the program came back later in 1969 it was renamed Lift Off. (86.145.190.71 (talk) 00:32, 7 November 2011 (UTC))[reply]

I can confirm that the show was made by Granada at studios in Manchester, I was drummer in band Hector who appeared on the same show, its a pity all archives were destroyed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.101.106.19 (talk) 22:46, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A notable guest performance from series 7 was MARC BOLAN & T.REX performing the single TRUCK ON (TYKE) which was filmed at the GRANADA STUDIOS MANCHESTER a few days prior to being aired on 19th December 1973 . The performance is notable for several reasons 1) MARC performed without a guitar ) JACK GREEN's only performance on british tv miming the guitar part 3) MICKEY FINN behind the drum kit miming the part originally played by BILL LEGEND on the record who had recently left the band . Although the show is lost some pictures from the set do exist and one of which featured on the inside cover of the 1974 lp release from T.REX ZINC ALLOY AND THE HIDDEN RIDERS OF TOMORROW — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moonmarc1961 (talkcontribs) 10:45, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
