Why on earth would this page be deleted? Benton is one of the key founders of ATF, designed the most sophisticated mechanical pantagraph ever produced, and designed the Century type font which Daniel Berkeley Updike called the most important font of the nineteenth century. Furthermore, he is the father of Morris Fuller Benton, America's most prolific and successful type designer. From a type point of view, this man is HUGE!
