Cooper's historical novels
[edit]Too bad that the odd assertion that this is in some special sense James Fenimore Cooper's "only" historical novel made it to Wikipedia's main page, in spite of my having drawn attention to the solecism at DYK. The Last of the Mohicans: A Narrative of 1757 was published in January 1826. The Pathfinder (1840) is its sequel. --Wetman (talk) 20:07, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- I know it has been many years since this comment but I had to take a moment to chime in. Yes, this is an odd thing to suggest, as most of Cooper's novels were historical fiction, including several that came before Lionel Lincoln. --Midnightdreary (talk) 17:18, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
