Surprise out-of-order release of English episodes?

[edit]

I edited the main article to reflect the fact the first English episode released on Kabillion on February 28, 2013, turned out to be the episode 5 rather than episode 1, thus making the English episode releases out-of-order. I noticed that the history of this page used to say that episode 1 would be released on February 28, and this page was changed retroactively to reflect what actually happened, and I'm assuming that the dates that were originally published on this page were based on reliable sources at the time. Does anyone know why the episodes are being released out-of-order, and was this information promulgated in advance at all (and was this page mistaken), or was it a complete surprise to all of the English-speaking viewers? Please respond if you know any more about this, and edit my additions to the main page if necessary to include any of these answers. --Wykypydya (talk) 02:45, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's no problem on the episodes' order. The 5th episode was the first episode dubbed (and so released) for the promotion of the series. I saw the offical Code Lyoko Facebook account reply on this question on the facebook page a few days ago. When the series will have a regular airing, I think the problem will be solved. (Sorry if i made grammar mistakes, french user.) Aquatikelfik (talk) 13:02, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a link to that official Facebook statement from MoonScoop? Why would they choose Episode 5 as an English pilot but episode 1 as a French pilot? Does anyone really know? I see that User:58.165.164.74 (talk · contribs) edited the main article to say "Episode 5 makes a more suitable pilot as no plot development happens, merely demonstrating what the viewer might expect from the series." but this doesn't really answer anything. I tried translating the source of that edit to English, and it didn't explain it either. It seems like an arbitrarily inconsistent choice, but it would be nice to have more links on MoonScoop's official statement(s) (in English if possible but whatever there is) about why the company chose to surprise viewers by airing the episodes in a different order in English than in French. Content blanking

[edit]

Hi, writing in regard to these edits by IP user 24.47.68.71: 6 edits and [1]. As far as I can tell from this article's talk page, no consensus has been established to remove all of this content. Consensus is determined by discussion, and where discussion doesn't occur, consensus cannot be assumed if the bold edits have been resisted. (see WP:CONSENSUS) Reasonable plot synopsis lengths are defined at WP:TVPLOT as being between 100-200 words, with up to 350 words for more complicated plots. If the existing synopses are presently too long, they can be pared down, but deleting them entirely is inappropriate, especially for a "List of" article with only 26 episodes. Until a local consensus is established, complete removal will be considered disruptive. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:04, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
