Ryan Connor returns[edit]

Ryan Connor has returned to the programme and is filming as we speak. Nolw Ryan Prescott left the show in December and will return by March. There was no official mention by the show or the actor that he had left the show, I seem to remember that there were a few well respected Wiki editors who have said that if an actor leaves the programme and returns under a year, in Ryan's case, approximatively 2 or 3 months, they can be reintegrated to the regular characters section. Ryan wasn't confirmed to be leaving permanently. There was no official sourced confirmation. This break was similar to a maternity leave or a panto break. So since this was a short break from the programme, I am reintegrating Ryan Connor back in the regular characters section. 135.0.252.54 (talk) 01:19, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Harvey Gaskell has left[edit]

The cast changes section at the bottom of the page needs updating. In the departing characters section, Harvey Gaskell is still listed. He has already left the show. His final scenes were in last Wednesday's episode. In February, Will Mellor revealed that he had filmed his final scenes.[1] Make of that what you will or calculate when they will air onscreen. It was reported on 22 February. It depends how far Coronation Street films in advance.146.198.113.221 (talk) 12:10, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was able to find that he did appear on the show, however, could you answer the following:

- Who is the current actor?

- What's the duration of the character (ex. 1960-present)

The actor's name is Christopher Harper. He is both the current actor and the original actor. He is the only actor to play the character.87.114.71.70 (talk) 22:40, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

His initial run on the show was between December 2016 (he made his first appearance in the Christmas Day episode of that year) and October 2017. He then appeared in one episode in February 2018 very briefly as a vision in Bethany's mind. So his duration should read 2016–2018, 2024–present. 87.114.71.70 (talk) 22:43, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if the Daily Express is allowed to be used as a source but this article here [3] tells of a plot hole from tonight's episode and features images from the episode in which Bethany sees Nathan watching a police reconstruction being filmed and stating that the police or probation service should have informed Bethany, as the victim of his crime, that Nathan had been released from prison.87.114.71.70 (talk) 22:49, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
