IMPORTANT - Redirects for Individual Episodes[edit]

Wikipedia has a clear policy on creating articles for individual series episodes, which should be consulted at WP:EPISODES. As policy, the terms it lays out should be rigorously followed in the creation of individual episode articles. Plot summaries, goofs, and trivia are explicitly cited as both unencyclopedic and not-recommended content for individual episode articles. If you wish to write individual articles for episodes of this series, please ensure that the content meets the criteria laid out at the guideline. Otherwise, individual episode articles should redirect to this list article. Thanks. Eusebeus 11:00, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Family Reunion Episode[edit]

Can someone please come up with a citation for this? It's not that I'm trying to be picky, it's that I'm totally unable to find a single reference for Tanya's character showing up on the show, let alone a summary of the ep. My normal resource is EpGuides and they don't have the ep listed, so if y'all could please show where this is coming from it would help make this a better article :) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 15:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Google's got nothing on this ep, IMDb has nothing, Epguides has nothing, TV.com has nothing, and TV Guide has nothing. UNLESS you can provide a citation, this is looking like a fan hoax, folks. Only Wikipedia and the TVIV have any mention of it, and frankly, that's just not good enough for an encyclopedia. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 14:18, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

I removed all non-citable information, and reordered the eps off of TV.com. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 21:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table Appearance[edit]

Can somebody who knows how to work tables fix this one? A user seems to like messing with them to make it look like Kim Possible. If I just revert it, we'll lose a lot of info so I don't wanna do that, but right now the page looks so messed up. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 14:45, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I shouldn't be shocked that there's a wikiproject for this. Heh. I'll see what I can do. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 19:53, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, done. That didn't take long :) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 20:37, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx. :) And theres wikiproject for episode list? o.O --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 21:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's Wikipedia! There's something for everyone! (she says while still giggling about a project for episode lists which is kinda cool) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 03:09, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Get Smarter Episode Description[edit]

Does anyone know where there is an accurate episode description for the episode "Get Smarter". Having just watched the episode for myself on Disney Channel UK, the current description is incorrect, it is Newt with the crush not Cory. I know someone corrected it, but obviously it was removed due to the lack of citations, and Disney Channel UK aren't currently broadcasting the description on the on-screen guide, so I can't quote from that. If anyone can find a correct description and put it here, that would be great!--Orry Verducci 00:06, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The on-screen TV is now carrying episode information, and it is also incorrect, so I don't think we will get correct information until it shows on the other Disney Channel networks, as Disney Channel UK have obviously made a mistake - strange. Orry Verducci 14:27, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sadly the only one I can find is wrong, but since it's citable and that episode hasn't aired in the Americas, we're SOL for the normal sources of citation. Also, the dates for airing should be US, since it's a US show, which is why I reverted that. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 02:20, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episodes Changing[edit]

Okay this is driving me nuts, but as far as I can determine, Disney's adding in new episodes and playing with their schedule for CitH a lot, so we're getting episodes renumbered. However that means we can no longer accurately project air dates (like Air Force One Too Many). I set them as TBA since, frankly, we have no idea if they'll catch up by 2007 or not anymore. Also, if you're going to add in episode titles at this point, we'll be best served by citing a source so we can verify it somewhere. If this is driving you crazy too, I hope this helps somewhat. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:23, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't use the obscure "TBA"; a space is better (and in keepoing with Wikipedia style and guidelines). --Mel Etitis (Talk) 14:12, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough :) How about you not just do a wholesale revert and just change the TBA to blank, though? There were other edits. And the new 'blank' episodes are based off TV.com, which has been accurate thus far. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 15:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because there were other problems with the new text, and because the edits were unexplained and unsourced. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 18:26, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're agreeing now :) Tis fine, that's why I cited them on my second edit. Sorry about the spelling. Newtasks seems to be a legit word in my dictionary... -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 20:16, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder what it thinks that "newtasks" means? --Mel Etitis (Talk) 21:57, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I actually went and looked.... Apparently, because it's my work computer, someone sent up 'newtasks' to mean 'new tasks' in our system, since we use 'newtasks' to mark emails, and having that get tagged every time you try to send a mail would be annoying. Makes sense, but it's still weird ;) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 22:10, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And the Weenie is...[edit]

TV.Com, a rather reliable source, keeps pulling that episode off their CitH page. The episode page is still there, but the episode list page no longer lists it. It's supposed to air on the 18th, if at all, so I think we should err on the side of cation and not add it until it airs. Disney's been playing merry cob with their schedules. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:52, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commercials are already airing for it. It's going to air on the 18th. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:17, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you WeeklyJumpman, for providing something citable (I never saw the commercials, and frankly Disney has been ganking everyone with the schedule, so a healthy does of skepticism at their inability to keep to something normal and consistent isn't uncalled for). When you have a TV show that keeps goofing around with episode names, airdates and order, I feel we editors have the responsibility to proving accuracy, rather than just trusting someone who's, well, abused that trust before. Love ya, Disney, but stop shuffling shows! -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:11, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect episodes[edit]

Why do the articles regarding each episode of Cory in the House redirect here? - Disney768User 09:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They don't all ... someone decided to delete all the ep pages and redirect them here, but it looks like they're slowly returning. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:58, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect episode[edit]

The episode "Just Desserts" links to something completely unrelated to the TV show. someone please fix it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.164.143.24 (talk)

Fixed to a red link. You can make those edits yourself, you know :) -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 13:56, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Raven[edit]

Apparently, Raven guest stars in an episode called "That's So In the House." This episode appears in an upcoming Cory in the House DVD, but I don't know when it's supposed to air. 1 --Erased Paper 02:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's so in the house[edit]

According to Raven-S.com, the airdate for the episode "That's so in the house" is on July 8th, although it was not cited.

BJ[edit]

Does anyone know what happened to 'BJ in the House'? It was on the episode list for a long time, and I was looking forward to it. Deoxys911 04:18, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not listed anywhere anymore that I can find, though tv.com is not (as it's been proven to me) reliable so ... YMMV. We may end up dropping everything that isn't on Disney's website at this rate, just to get a decent idea of what the heck is going on :P -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 13:04, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Air Force One Too Many[edit]

This episode has already aired on Disney Channel UK and so surely the airdate should be the global airdate rather than the us airdate. Mouseinthehouse 17:40, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly. The show is a US filmed and produced show, and therefor should be listed by US airdates. Which makes this whole thing heinous anyway, since it sounds like Disney's testing the eps overseas before airing here. Oy. Anyway, airdates are for the nation where the show was filmed and produced. -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 18:06, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, maybe the title of the column should be US airdate to make things clear. Mouseinthehouse 18:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That' another thing I'm miffed about on all the disney shows they only show the us airdates there should be another column for uk airdtaes.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Imzy (talkcontribs)

Yes, well as I said before - The show is a US filmed and produced show, and therefor should be listed by US airdates. All UK shows are listed with UK airdates. -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 13:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No but they air it in the uk aswell and you'se should put the airdtaes up(not directly saying to you, so don't get offended) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.199.46.124 (talkcontribs)

No, we should not. We don't put US airdates on German shows, we don't put French airdates on UK shows. You don't tug on Superman's cape ;) It's outside the scope for what this page is, so it does not belong here. -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 13:35, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it does belong here, we're talking about airdtae info on the p-age, u.k is big on Disney we gte the things first after U.S.A. Also, what about people in the u.k? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.199.46.37 (talk)

Repeat Airdates are for the country in which the show is produced. - I'm sorry you don't like that, but that's the guideline for wikipedia at the moment. If we list the UK, what's to stop us from listing Asia? Or France? Both of which are big for Disney. If we don't draw the line at something easy to understand and control, mayhem ensues :) If Disney filmed and produced 'Cory in the Palace', about Victor working for the Queen, and it was filmed and produced by their UK affialiates, then we would list the UK airdates and not the US. That's just how it is. -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 16:05, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Article Review[edit]

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
The result of the discussion was to redirect all of the episode articles to this page's list of episodes.

The following is an episode review discussion that is intended to evaluate articles for individual episodes. See WP:TV-REVIEW and WP:EPISODE for more info.

Per WP:EPISODE, not every episode of a TV show should likely have an individual article. This can be for many reasons, such as lack of notability or sources, or even just what format fits best for that show.

Any editors are invited to comment. You might want to read up on WP:EPISODE, WP:NN, WP:V and WP:RS.

The following episodes have no assertion of notability, and a short plot summary. I have restored them from redirects to be viewed here. Please do not redirect them until this has been closed.

None of these articles assert notability, and have anything more than either a very short or very long plot summary, and trivia, goofs and quotes. I would propose redirection. I  (said) (did) 23:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

I had looked at this list just the other day and had not realized that all of these articles existed (list has thrashed a bit). I've looked the episode pages over and none establish notability (or even attempt to). They are poorly formatted and simply don't have the potential to be anything other than non-notable fan notes. Endorse redirect (from orbit...). --Jack Merridew 09:03, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As a side note, they were all previously created, but a user redirected them before opening a discussion. I notified them of this process on their talk page when I opened this. I  (said) (did) 09:20, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect All - There is nothing more than a plot here, really a synopsis, which can be easily attached to a LOE page. I'd take all the trivia information from "Smells Like School Spirit", "Napper's Delight", "Bahavian Idol", "Beat the Press", "Get Smarter", "And the Weenie Is...", "No, No, Nanoosh", "That's So in the House", and "Gone Wishin" and put them on the LOE page, with a {{trivia}} and {{verify}} tag.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect Most - I think the first episode (and any crossover eps with Raven etc) should remain, because they're the most notable/different of the lot. The rest can be tossed back into the LoE page, and dump the trivia. Put interesting character info on the character pages. -- Ipstenu (talkcontribs) 14:24, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • The first episode, The New Kid in Town, makes no attempt at asserting notability. I'm not even sure there are articles on crossovers, but they too must establish their notability to survive. --Jack Merridew 14:55, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd say redirect them all. I'm not seeing anything even hinting at being notable. -- Ned Scott 06:19, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leaning toward re-directing all (especially the first six, which aren't even stubs as much as they are barely paragraphs) EXCEPT That's So in the House, which is probably the only real crossover with the parent series (and for that one, I'd say it badly needs cleanup and a way to establish notability). —Preceding unsigned comment added by WAVY 10 (talkcontribs) [diff]
It has lots of plot summary and trivia and not a single reference. An aside: what is a crossover besides a marketing ploy? (3rd bullet) — resist Corporatism. --Jack Merridew 15:52, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect all - I had earlier restored Mel's redirects (although I am happy this is being reviewed here) and each episode article had nothing that asserted out-of-u. notability. Eusebeus 19:36, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

motion to close[edit]

Time to wrap this up folks. I've seen no argument that serves to establish notability. I will review episodes prior to redirecting. --Jack Merridew 10:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Adding TV Guide as a reference is unnecessary and just cluttering up the reference list. It isn't any more authoritative, and has errors as well (its episode counts are often out). Listing it is also giving a false reference, as it was not used for any of the current episodes, TV.com was. TV.com is considered a valid reference for airdates, titles, and basic show information and is more than sufficient. AnmaFinotera (talk) 19:48, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New episode: Cory meets Sarusza, a girl from Dubinia, but all Bahavians, including Meena, hates all Dubinians (because they think all of them are thiefs), and Dubinians hates Bahavians (because they think Bahavians are liars). Meena tells that a long time ago, Dubinians stole all Sacred Figs. But Sarusza told Cory that the figs were from Dubinia. When Cory invites the Dubinian girl to the White House, he thinks she stole his mp3 player. He looks in Sarusza's bag, but she sees it. Then he discovers that Victor was using his mp3 player. In school, Meena tells her Yak ate their school project, and Cory thinks she's lieing. But he learns that her Yak really ate it. When Meena sees the gift Sarusza gave, she tells Cory they can't be friends anymore. So, Cory tries to make both girls forget all this, making an T-shirt with Bahavia's and Dabubia's flag, but the girls destroy it. So, the president tries to help Cory, because they tried to make Dubinia and Bahavia live in peace for years. Meanwhile, Sophie tries to prank everyone.

This episode is similar to The Great Divide, an Avatar: The Last Airbender episode.
Note: In this episode, we can see Bahavia's and Dubinia's flag.
Note: Dubinia's mascot is the musk deer.
Note: This episode was aired in Brazil on April 21, 2008.
