Please stop editing this page with disinformation. The all-time leading scorer in women's D-1 history is universally recognized as Kelsey Plum, and has been for the entire existence of this page. 173.77.53.152 (talk) 19:32, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suzie Snider Eppers[edit]

why is Lynette Woodard mentioned, but not Suzie Snider Eppers? 2600:1014:B119:3275:3408:4E3B:FBF3:C05A (talk) 20:28, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suzie Snider Eppers played for Baylor from 1973-1977, when they were part of the AIAW, which ceased operations in 1983. The NCAA began to take oversight of collegiate women's basketball in 1982, and there was a one year overlap where both organizations existed, and had their own champtionship tournaments (the 1982-83 season). edit: I see what you mean now...your issue is that Suzie wasn't mentioned in the text, since Lynette Woddard also played during the AIAW years. It turns out there's a weird issue with the NCAA not recognizing her freshman scoring total of 724 points, as they didn't consider it to be a "varsity" basketball season. Seems pretty odd.
