I have to question the "notability" of some of those on the list. Who is Annie E. Clark, for example? The page of hers that it links to seems...self promotional, to say the least. This article shouldn't just be a laundry list of every single Phi Beta Kappa member or a self-promotional tool for such members. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.227.128.12 (talk) 18:33, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
Hey I think someone needs to add Elena Kagan...she's a pretty 'notable' member I'd say. http://www.pbk.org/home/FocusNews.aspx?id=520 ; ; ; Princeton 1981 according to pbk.org — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.88.27.21 (talk) 19:08, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Is this a full list or a partial list ?
- In theory it would be the full list of notable members, i.e. those with an entry themselves. So those redlinks need to disappear! Martin 11:56, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- In that case, would this list work better as a category?--Arxiloxos (talk) 06:21, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- You might think so, but see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 February 7#Category:Phi Beta Kappa members. Martin 08:14, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- Okey dokey. I guess that's that. Thanks for the info.--Arxiloxos (talk) 09:03, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Help needed with listing of William Burke Belknap
I entered William Burke Belknap but the information is not formatting correctly. How can I correct this? Mitzi.humphrey (talk) 20:27, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- You had a missing separator | in the second line. But then we had an edit conflict when 2 editors tried to fix this at the same time. Oops. --Arxiloxos (talk) 20:56, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Elected Undergraduates vs. Honorary Members
There may be some confusion on this list between members elected as undergraduates and "honorary members." For example, per the discussion at John Hope Franklin, Fisk University received its chapter in 1952 (the first HBCU to do so); Franklin was one of two persons elected as "foundation members" for the Fisk chapter, so other members listed as having been elected as Fisk undergraduates before that time may actually have been honorary members, or elected from another school. Also, some names included on this list as members may actually be recipients of PBK awards, which may or may not convey membership. For example, it appears that Nima Arkani-Hamed, added to the list today with an election date of 2005, won a PBK teaching award in 2005, but clearly he was not an undergraduate at that point in his already-distinguished career. Perhaps the list's dichotomy between elected and honorary should be refined, but I'm not sure what would work better. Any suggestions?--Arxiloxos (talk) 20:20, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Seth Klarman

Frank Wagner
So, I've checked his bio on the backed-up version of his State Senate website, and there's no mention of Frank Wagner (former state senator from VA) having been Phi Beta Kappa or attending the City College of New York (he went to the US Naval Academy). I'm pretty sure that it's a composer by the same name (https://www.frankdwagner.com/), but I'm not sure what to do about setting this to a redlink.70.174.126.206 (talk) 06:13, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
