Criterion

If the people listed here must be "from Russia" as per the top of the page, and not merely of Russian descent, then we must remove a lot of names.

For example, Peter Ustinov was born and raised in Britain. He was of Russian descent, but he was not "Russian" in the sense we're using that term here. -- Jack of Oz ^{[pleasantries]} 22:57, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I actually wouldn't have any strong objections to renaming the page "List of Academy Award winners and nominees of Russian descent", except for the flow-on issues with all the similar pages for other nationalities. -- Jack of Oz ^{[pleasantries]} 23:10, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
