is someone going to carry out this "move" for us? From regular wiki to this WPJournals wiki? thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rvencio (talkcontribs) 12:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • No move is needed. This tag just means that there is a "wikiproject" that is interested in this article. The tag means that if someone would try to delete the article, for example, the wikiproject would be notified and could try to save it. --Crusio (talk) 13:31, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest adding Impact Factor as a column

There is an RfC regarding the standardization of journal lists names. Please comment at Talk:List of journals#RFC. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 01:36, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Serious damage by removing highly relevant journals

[edit]

The list may have gotten too long some time ago, but whoever has been chopping out journals obviously knows nothing about the field, as the even PLoS Computational Biology (the number one journal in the field and one of the official journals of ISCB) has been chopped out. I suggest restoring the long list rather than letting someone who knows nothing about where bioinformatics is published throw out everything based on blind keyword matching.

  • Computational biology and bioinformatics are two different, even though related, things. But feel free to formulate some broader inclusion criteria and then the journals you are complaining about can be re-added (if they are notable and have articles). The article currently does need clear inclusion criteria, so go ahead. It might be better then to rename it to something like "list of bioinfomatics and computational biology journals". See WP:L for the appropriate guideline. --Crusio (talk) 06:07, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is there are journal called 'Bioinformatician'?

[edit]

I cannot find such a journal. The link leads to 'Bioinformatics' as a discipline. This should be amended if someone else can verify my claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Polariseke (talkcontribs) 18:46, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Better presentation?

[edit]

I think this page would be much better off as a table, presenting impact factors, among other things. Would anyone else agree?Hailholyghost (talk) 15:35, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
