Thought this article might be worthwhile. Please improve. The German Wikipedia has two articles for Alsterbrücken and Elbbrücken. --AltSylt (talk) 14:21, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

tone tag

[edit]

I have re-phrased some of the sentences, I believe it's now all fine. The only thing now, may be the direct comparison to those other cities, though that it related to the sentence mentioning that nickname or title. I don't mind if anybody wants to remove the other cities. I have put them in, cause I believe in this context the reader wants to relate to those 'contenders'. --AltSylt (talk) 16:36, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Number of bridges

[edit]

No precise source is given for the number of ~2500 bridges. That is an issue, because I think this number covers bridges over water as well as bridges over land (e.g., crossing a road or railway). Amsterdam may have only 2058 numbered bridges (https://www.bruggenvanamsterdam.nl/) but it apparently also has 2027 without one, not including culverts... Hence I'm not so sure of this Venice/Amsterdam/London comparison. Classical geographer (talk) 14:06, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
