Please help! Alpha Lists need proofing and checking! Thanks User:SatuSuro 13:01, 21 January 2006 (UTC) The existence of this list has been questioned - if someone wants to place this list inside the rottnest article, I would argue it would make that article cumbersome. Also, the amount of material that can be added over time to this list would probably double in size  :). User:SatuSuro 02:26, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    • SatuSuro, might there be something in this observation? Perhaps we should be aiming for a catalogue of more notable features, maybe colonial-era buildings, shipwrecks, anchorages, military searchlight stations... (rather than bus stops)? What do you think? Cheers, Callophylla 02:11, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi the motivation for the separate list was to not encumber the main article. There is a fine line between "useful" information and "unnecessary" (ie bus stops): - your suggestion - if it was followed up would make the list last longer - and would make it more interesting. Rotto must be the most over documented bits of ground outside tasmania - there's plenty on what you just mentioned! SatuSuro 07:37, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed change

[edit]

It is proposed to change this article to - geographical named features - change it from List of features - to a more traditional article - as the recent article Colonial buildings... and the main Rottnest article deal with the issues of the built environment in a better way - and it will take this current article - to be renamed Geographical features of Rottnest Island - away from the WP:NOT area.
