Fusions and order

[edit]

I think that the fusions of municipalities shouldn't appear on this list (better to make a specific one). I also think that a chronological order would be more practical (just my opinion). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekø (talkcontribs) 12:37, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There's only a few instances where a fusion occurred, so a separate article would be too small to be warranted. Also, the list is sortable, so if you click the little icon beside the heading "Period" in the column, it will sort the list chronologically. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 15:02, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In Italy there have been over a hundred fusions of municipalities, only in the last five years (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusione_di_comuni_italiani), and a fusion isn't exactly "renamed".
The chronological order seems to me more convenient especially for those who edit the page. Ekø (talkcontribs) 12:37, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ekø: Please fix the syntax in the table as soon as possible or it will be removed. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 22:15, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rewriting

[edit]

I am rewriting the table to include all the renamings; it's a very long work, so I'll not do it all at once. If anyone wants to help, data are here: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modifiche_territoriali_e_amministrative_dei_comuni_d%27Italia Ekø (talkcontribs) 20:27, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ekø: Perhaps, to make the readability of the table better, is if you section off the table into multiple tables per region (then the region column wouldn't be needed). A re-name of the article may also be appropriate. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:20, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Why is the first table heading just a period? Will that be fixed? Do they still need to be combined to a respective region heading? Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 16:17, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
