Winchester 1200 and 1400[edit]

Did I miss something? Where are the Win1200 & 1400? They're the #3- & 4-selling selfloading shotguns in U.S. history, says Harold Murtz, Gun Digest Treasury (DBI Books, 1994), p.194. Trekphiler 01:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SPAS 12[edit]

Why is the SPAS 12 under 'P' as opposed to 'S' or 'F'?

Military/lawenforcement Bias[edit]

I must say that the shotgun article and the list of shotguns article seem to be very focused on the use of these firearms in a Military/law enforcement context. Shotguns were originally designed as sporting arms, and have become defense/assault weapons only recently. I feel that rather than being true "articles" both of these pages have been designed as a means for comparing random facts. Neither article has proper referencing, and both articles make a mockery of the Wikipedia ideal.--Jarrodhollinger 16:34, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, this article (List of shotguns) contains a fair number of civilian shotguns, and shotguns from outside the United States. I'm therefore going to remove the "wordview" banner, which says "The examples and perspective in this article, over represent the United States military. A less politicized tone should be sought by supplementing and supplanting the entry since, as a result, it may not represent a worldwide view of the subject." Also, ths article is a list, and is mainly intended to provide links to other articles. — Mudwater 03:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

restored list[edit]

This edit took out about half the list...I've restored the list and canned the featuring(?) table. The table is unnecessary and less inviting to new editors. It also violates MOS:FLAG.

I would have thought a table would be a much more usefull way of presenting information. Allowing people to find what they're looking for alot quicker, if they aren't looking for a particular shotgun, or they can't remember the name, etc. Also I worked out the table pretty quick and I'm new. The table was started here in 2009....and remained incomplete. It seemed as if certain shotguns were being featured. I might be talked into having a table but it would have to be complete. I'd recommend that you make the full thing in your sandbox...but leave the flags off per MOS:FLAG.

Yeh I remember there being a table with just some "fancy" shotguns on it and then a whole list and one day the list just wasnt there and I tohught, I'll just add to the table then. I'll see what I can do. User:The best ginger 13:19, 1 July 2011
