Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because... --JDBalgores (talk) 12:06, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page shows all Kate Bush's songs - including the ones that are not listed in Kate Bush discography. She is a major figure in musical history, and this page will help users to navigate her work. If Wikipedia does not approve of pages like this, then may I suggest you delete List of The Beatles songs as well. However, I must protest in both these cases. I have put a lot of work into this page, and for you to dismiss it like this, I take as a personal insult.

I truly suggest you don't take anything anyone says in Wikipedia as a personal insult or you wont survive here long. We try to assume good faith - if another editor says or does anything, they are probably meaning for the best of Wikipedia. No claim was made ad homimem. I personally think this list is redundant. I agree it is not speedy delete redundant, but redundant none the less. We don't have lists of songs for every artist and for a good reason. Lets see where this goes. --Muhandes (talk) 14:44, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources banner

[edit]

Since 2011 (so for most of a decade), this list has had a "no sources cited" banner, but I don't feel it was properly applied. Given how many items are on this list, it would be impractical to give sources for each one, and the every entry does include a source by way of indicating the release, what album, or single the song appeared on. This by itself would serve as sourcing, and in the case of albums, every single one has a Wikipedia article which has sourcing. I suggest the banner be deleted as no one has acted upon it for 8 years, and the list is perfectly usable and the information within is easily verifiable, mostly without having to leave Wikipedia. 136.159.160.5 (talk) 21:17, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Except that strictly we are not supposed to use wikipedia as a source - does that include lists like this ? -- Beardo (talk) 15:10, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
