POV and unclear

[edit]

State of Palestine declared in 1988, but the list starts from 1948. Likewise, PLO founded in 1964 and PA formed in 1994. So, the title has to be changed to suitable name or the content has to be removed. Also, the article needs citations too. --AntanO 02:04, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Move 22 October

[edit]

Move this article to "List of wars involving Palestinians" --Bolter21 (talk to me) 19:36, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Too vague.GreyShark (dibra) 22:51, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Greyshark09: The current one is too lie. Non of the parties in the articles include the name "State of Palestine", it's like making an article about wars involving Cyprus and adding the Greek civil war from the 1820's since some Greek Cypriots joined the war or making a list of wars involving South Ossetia and adding the Soviet-Georgian war because Ossetians in the modern day boundries of Georgia rebelled and sided with the soviets. Until a proper name is chosen, there is not a single justification for anything before 1988 to be in this article. --Bolter21 (talk to me) 17:49, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is why you may propose this list for deletion. I will support.GreyShark (dibra) 14:21, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Or replace it with a title like the one I offered so you could also include missing things like Syrian Civil War, in which PLA is fighting with Assad, Second Lebanese war (2006) and Lebanese civil war. One thing is certain, a list with all the conflicts involving the PLO is required. --Bolter21 (talk to me) 16:55, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"List of wars involving Palestinians" is not so much different from "List of wars with participation of people who have some relations to Palestine", which is nonsense. PLO/PNA/SOP is a structured geopolitical entity, which can be defined; "Palestinians" is not. Some Palestinians also served in Saddam's Army, so we should list here the Kurdish genocide as well?GreyShark (dibra) 05:25, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How about a "List of wars involving Palestinians" and a lead that explains we are talking about Palestinian factions (not brigades withing other armies, factions of volunteers of factions, such as PLO (Including PLA, al-Aqsa martyrs etc.), Hamsas, PIJ, PFLP, PFLP-GC, PRC and indeed ALA and HWA (1947-9) Not all Palestinian factions are subjected to any Palestinian entity. Maybe not a perfect offer but Wikipedia got to have something like that. List of wars involving PLO is needed but there is no reason to include other Palestinian factions. I really think something like that should be done with the Kurds as well. --Bolter21 (talk to me) 12:58, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How about "List of wars involving the State of Palestine", but clarifying that it also refers to background (pre-2013): PNA and PLO? Meaning as is...GreyShark (dibra) 17:33, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then World War II, Palestine Civil War and Arab Revolt? In all of those conflicts the Hagganah, under the order of the Yishuv's leadership. In general, there should be lists of conflicts involving Palestinians and Kurds, emphasizing that "Palestinians" and "Kurds" mean factions or national led revolts. If there was not a sourcial debate about the term "Palestine" I would go with "List of wars involving Palestine" but there is a sourcial dispute on that (Since Palestine can mean the nation, the country or the region). I suggest going with "List of wars involving Palestinians" emphasizing that the article talks about Palestinian factions in conflicts. --Bolter21 (talk to me) 18:22, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Scope

[edit]

D4rkeRR9 you can't change the title and scope of the article like that. This article deals with wars involving the "State of Palestine". It was declared in 1988, everything before is irrelevant.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 08:25, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
