Within the past year, a lengthy Window function article was ruthlessly trisected, without discussion, and with residue scattered here and to Spectral leakage. I spent most of a day analyzing and repairing the damage to Spectral leakage. The complaint here is that the lead is inadequate, which is true. But it's because its meat remains in the other two fragments of the original union. Rather than redundantly expanding the lead of this article, I have simply restored this list at Window function § A list of window functions. So (IMO) this article should be recommended for deletion, and all the edits to redirects should be undone.
