Live action role-playing games

[edit]

Shouldn't they be included in these? J 1982 (talk) 21:51, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What Makes (any) Of These Games Culturally-Significant?

[edit]

I don't think just listing a handful of games with their release years says anything about what makes these games noteworthy. What is so significant about a sequel to Super Monkeyball in 2021??? Humankind links to a non-game page.LkeYHOBSTorItEwA (talk) 18:05, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

I've removed most of the annotations that simply listed the names of games, as it had essentially devolved into in unorganized "list of whatever games I can think of right now". I've left the first few intact, since those time periods don't have dedicated pages, and I've left the section intros intact since they can probably be made workable with some editing and proper citations. (Both of those might also warrant being removed or trimmed down, but I'm content to leave that to others' discretion.)

I've also changed the page to indicate that this list covers only non-video games, to be consistent with the individual "[year] in games"/"[year] in video games" articles.

Some new annotations should be added to the page, I think, but 1) limited only to events of significance to the history of games as a whole, 2) not including video games (or at most, containing sparse mention of them), and ideally 3) backed up with reliable sources confirming their accuracy and significance. - Revolutionary girl euclid (talk) 22:51, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
