Do not change title[edit]

A diseases and disorders are possibly different, non-overlapping concepts. Or, they could be different, but overlap in some instances. Or, as suggested, they may be indistinguishable--which again is different from them being the same.

Impossible to resolve without definition[edit]

There is no tractable non-arbitrary solution to deciding if they should be combined, combined but maintained in separate namespaces, or just chucked out the window.

  • Come up with a definition of 'disease', 'disorder', and 'problem'
    • Meaning a real definition, not a description
    • Your personal ability to perceive distinctions doesn't mean they are not real and important

Title Change[edit]

If you look at the page, it seems to concern both diseases and disorders. Maybe the whole thing should be changed to "List of Medical Conditions", along with the alphabetical lists. Thoughts? Banielse (talk) 00:48, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Consensus is to not merge —G716 <T·C> 12:56, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

I think this page or The list of disorders page should be merged with the other since I originally tried to look at both lists at the same time.—Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs)

>If you want to look at them at the same time open two separate windows, don't suggest they be merged when disorders and diseases are two distinct diagnoses.—Preceding unsigned comment added by RC Coala (talkcontribs)

I agree with RC Coala. Look at List of disorders and Lists of diseases merging would not make sense.--Sugarcubez 06:19, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

No merge. Completely different purposes opf lists. `'Míkka 22:47, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
