Situated in the river Suir, the two channels around it are Kings Channel and Queens Channel. One of them is the primary route for river traffic. The other is no longer used much for river traffic and has a ferry between the island and the mainland.--Jmccormac 19:37, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, here is (an oil painting of but an actual place) an island of Ardmore Co. Waterford. It is only an island when the tide comes in and called goat island because manys a nosy goat spent the night up there (the grass was greener) ~ R.T.G 01:22, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
