Move Locaid Page & Update Content

[edit]
            • i moved this to the talk page from the sfba task force page, as it will never be seen there********

Hello everyone,

I am writing in reference to the Locaid page as it is listed within the scope of WikiProject California and the page is supported by the San Francisco Bay Area task force. I will start out by disclosing a conflict as I am employed by a company called LocationSmart that merged with Locaid in 2015. I am the Marketing Manager for LocationSmart and I also disclosed this information in my Wikipedia user profile. I included a list of sources supporting the merger.

Following the completion of the merger, the Locaid office and its employees were moved from San Francisco to Carlsbad, California. LocationSmart also absorbed all of Locaid's business and we now do business as LocationSmart. The Locaid website and its other online properties have been deleted or redirected to LocationSmart-owned properties.

With all of this in mind, I wish to move and/or replace the Locaid page with information about LocationSmart. If it is easier to just delete the Locaid page and create a new LocationSmart page, then we will happily follow this procedure.

We understand that new pages cannot simply be created "just because" and all content must be written objectively with multiple third-party sources. For this reason, LocationSmart has compiled a total of 18 sources to support the new content that may replace the Locaid page content. Those sources are also included below and they are organized by section in the replacement Wikipedia page.

We will provide as many pieces of supporting documentation as are needed to comply with all editorial guidelines. I am able to share the newly drafted content once the request to move and/or replace the Locaid page is approved or once it is requested by the San Francisco Bay Area task force, Wikipedia editors, etc. This message is long enough as is :).

We want to follow all proper procedures and recommendations to successfully complete this change. I appreciate your consideration and we look forward to all feedback.

Thank you.
