Notability

[edit]

There are a few mentions of the subject of this article in newspapers over the years, including from the AP. However, given when he was active, it seems that the fact that he's not given any material coverage in any books about comedy from the period indicates that he is not in fact notable. Anyone have in-depth coverage suggesting otherwise? Bongomatic 04:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeaaaah; I think you simply didn't look in the right places. Try typing in his name + the name of the show on which he appeared. There are numerous references to London Lee in Cue, Billboard and at least several books which mention him. If the significant references I added are not enough, we can add a few more. London Lee never appeared on the live Beatles appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show. Comedians on the same bill with the Beatles were Marty Brill, Mitzi MCall and Frank Gorshin (2/9/64), Myron Cohen and Allen & Rossi (2/16/64), Morty Gunty and Morecame & Wise (2/23/64), Soupy Sales and Allen & Rossi (9/12/65).Mysteron09 (talk) 02:07, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
