My name is Kempton
[edit]My name is Kempton. I have taken the initiative to create a new Wikipedia entry for Lovemarks replacing the old entry which is simply a "Redirect" to the Saatchi & Saatchi entry. I suppose that redirect was used because Kevin Roberts was and still is the CEO Worldwide Saatchi & Saatchi and where the concept and idea of Lovemarks is invented and conceptualized.
I have taken a first step to create a frame for an entry which I plan to add more. But at a start, I want to make sure the current content is good enough to stand as a basis for growth. If it is not, I have no problem seeing it being reverted to its old state of being a simple redirect to the Saatchi & Saatchi entry.
In a day of many "firsts", I suppose this is my first discussion entry. I am going to learn by doing. I hope this works. And it is my hope and plan to remove the warning that "If notability cannot be established, the article is more likely to be considered for deletion ..." notice.
Cheers, Kempton (20:15, October 21, 2006)
- Looks like a good start. I don't see a problem with notability. The concept is based on a book published by a notable individual. Google shows plenty of hits for the term (both pro and con). The article should discuss the response of the marketing community to this concept. What are the arguments against it? How broadly accepted is it? Who is using it?--Srleffler 05:26, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- The website also seems to have some scheme by which people can nominate brands as "lovemarks" and vote on them. That should probably be mentioned in the article, to avoid confusion.--Srleffler 06:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I certainly think lovemarks deserve their own page. I expanded the entry by explaining Roberts' two-dimensional love/respect schema for placing lovermarks in the context of other selling concepts. Ashermeir 07:29, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I just edited this post on Lovemarks to add two main examples I have identified during my study of this concept. I also edited a small linking typo. If anyone thinks my edit should be modified to be improved, please do so. I'd love to learn. Deskoft (talk) 19:52, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
