Area discrepancy
[edit]In the introductory paragraph it states "Luang Namtha Province covers an area of 145,289 square kilometres (56,096 sq mi)." In the Infobox it ssys the area is "9325 square Km, (3200 sq miles)". One of these is clearly wrong!
Since the area of Laos as a whole is given as 237,955 sq km, if the value in the introduction was correct it would be over half the total area of Laos! I have checked the Provinces of Laos page, and also www.statoids.com/ula, which both state the area as 9325 sq km. I have no other sources to check, but I am going to change the introduction paragraph to reflect this more realistic lower figure.
It is in keeping, as an approximation with the stated areas of the surrounding provinces and would appear to reflect the area after Bokeo (4,970 sq km) was split off from it. MWchat (talk) 08:40, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
