Hi! I'm going to be working on this article as apart of a project for a class and I plan on using the follow sources as refrences. Below is a list of sources, their refrence/citation, and a a reason why I plan to use them. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks! -Cam Coe27 (talk) 04:06, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Kong, Y.C. 2010. Huangdi Neijing: A Synopsis with Commentaries.
  • Citation: Li, Zhongzi; 李中梓 (2010). Huangdi Neijing : a synopsis with commentaries = "Neij ing zhi yao" yi gu. Y. C. Kong, 江潤祥. Hong Kong. ISBN 978-962-996-927-1. OCLC 869372245.
    • This is a reliable source since it is a book published by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Press. It covers multiple topics about Traditional Chinese Medicine, including information about the lung and its functions. The Huangdi Neijing is also one of the oldest and considered the most important work about TCM so it can establish notability.
  • 2009. A General Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine, edited by Men Jiuzhang, and Guo Lei.
  • Citation: A general introduction to traditional Chinese medicine. Jiuzhang Men, Lei Guo. Boca Raton: Science Press/CRC Press. 2010. ISBN 978-1-4200-9173-1. OCLC 680039124.
    • This is a book published by a reliable publishing company. It is beneficially for talking about how the lung relates to the five elements theory since it covers that topic in depth in chapter five of the book.
  • Wu, Hong-zhou, et al. 2013. World Century Compendium To Tcm - Volume 1: Fundamentals Of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Citation: Wu, Hong-Zhou (2013). Introduction to Diagnosis in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Zhao-Qin Fang, Pan-Ji Cheng. Hackensack, N.J.: World Century Publishing Co. ISBN 978-1-938134-14-2. OCLC 855505010.
    • This is a book published by a reliable publishing company. It provides a lot of information about the lung and how it relates to different TCM theories, as well as the lungs functions and how it relates to the other organs.
  • Chen Wen-Lu, et al. 2020. "Network Biological Modeling: A Novel Approach to Interpret the Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory of Exterior-Interior Correlation Between the Lung and Large Intestine". Digital Chinese Medicine.
  • Citation: Wen-Lu, Chen; Jia-Na, Hong; Xin-Ning, Zhang; Ibarra-Estrada, Emmanuel; Li-Sheng, Wan; Sha-Sha, Li; Shi-Kai, Yan; Xue, Xiao (2020-12-01). Digital Chinese Medicine. 3 (4): 249–259. doi:10.1016/j.dcmed.2020.12.004. ISSN 2589-3777.
    • This is a peer-reviewed journal article, so it should be a reliable source to use. In the article it specifically covers the connection between the lung and the large intestine and this article can be used for specific information about that topic

Hi! I'm also working on this article for a class. I'm so sorry, I was going to add a sentence on the Five Elements Theory before I saw that it was in your plan. Would it be okay if I wrote a sentence on how the lungs is connected to the element of metal with my own source since it hasn't been touched on yet? Please feel free to remove it if you do not want it there. Here's one of my sources so far:
Pachuta, Donald M., 1991. "Chinese Medicine: The Law of Five Elements".
Citation: Pachuta, Donald M. (1991) "Chinese Medicine: The Law of Five Elements". India International Centre Quarterly. 18: (2/3) 41-68.
I apologize in advance if the citation isn't correct. I'm still getting used to using Wikipedia. -Samantha Moll. L. Samantha Moll. L (talk) 01:38, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot to add the link to my source:

Please disregard everything above, I came across the section linking the lungs and the element of metal. I'm so sorry. -Samantha Moll. L. Samantha Moll. L (talk) 01:47, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to add a sentence on how the lungs are associated with the color white due to their relation with the element metal using the same source mentioned above. Samantha Moll. L (talk) 01:51, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
::That sounds great! Please feel free to add anything to the article, including linking the lungs to the metal element. I think I might be adding more about how the large intestine and the lung are related to each other. ~~~~ Cam Coe27 (talk) 17:00, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great! I'm just adding more sources at the moment.

Just added four sentences using the sources I listed within the context of zang-fu organs section to the article. They added the meridians conecting the lung to the large intestine, common syptoms of lung diseases, and common causes of lung diseases. If anything can be improved or added let me know!
