Merge

[edit]

I merged this content to the newly created tripod (weapon). I will redirect this page to there if nobody objects. Not that in the future we can't recreate this, but right now this article has no sufficient content. username 1 (talk) 20:51, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Negative. There is absolutely no reason to merge a sourced article on a family of tripods simply for the sake of merging. I could see (and did) merging the M122, M122A1, and the M2 tripods. There's no reason to put all weapon mounts on the same page. Tripods, bipods, monopods, and vehicular mounts are all distinctly different methods of mounting weapons and there are numerous families of all of them, across many countries. This merger is a pointless waste of information. EvilCouch (talk) 10:51, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Verify

[edit]

Can anyone verify that the M112 tripod is part of the m2 tripod family? Qtherwise it needs its own article.username 1 (talk) 21:03, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean the M122?

Yes, it is simply an M2 tripod leg assembly and M2 T&E mechanism combined with a "gooseneck" pintle for the M60 machinegun. There is no reason for a separate M122 page and it needs to be merged with the M2 page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.228.162.5 (talk) 09:01, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
