Headquarters

[edit]

It seems there was a mistake, I changed the headquarters location to Paris according to the German, Italian and French wki pages of MBDA and to the EADS.com website

I have had to correct this page before, but yet again some petty vandal pushing his own agenda has come along and changed it to claim that Le Plessis-Robinson is the company HQ. It is not. MBDA has never said that LPR is the company HQ. MBDA HQ is, and has been since company inception on 2nd January 2002, 11 Strand, London, WC2N. Look at the MBDA website here: http://www.mbdacareers.co.uk/london.html
EADS are one of the two larger shareholders in MBDA, however I think MBDA would know where its own HQ is. Le Plessis-Robinson does, indeed, hold many of the senior managers. However, the same can be said of Stevenage site. MBDA states on their own website that The Strand is the corporate HQ. Look, it's on the MBDA website.
If you persist on vandalising this article, we will have to lock it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.6.35.235 (talk) 23:44, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yet again someone has vandalised the article, and pointed the reference at MBDA Holdings SAS (which is a shell company, and NOT the guided weapons business). Correcting YET AGAIN!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.6.35.235 (talk) 23:18, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Less than 24 hours, and someone has reverted to an incorrect version of the article. Look, whoever the vandal is, I implore you to CHECK THE LINKS. The link to MBDA Holdings SAS is to the REGISTERED ADDRESS (and NOT the Headquarters) of a holding company for MBDA Group... The HQ for MBDA Group (not just MBDA UK) is at 11 Strand. As I have explained this more than once, and you have not contributed to a discussion, I must report this article for vandalism now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.6.35.235 (talk) 21:00, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wow seems that 80.6.35.235 should calm down and look at this link: http://www.cassidian.com/cassidian/int/en/our-company/our-locations/Europe/france/le-plessis.html and also this one http://www.cassidian.com/cassidian/int/en/our-company/our-locations/Europe/uk/london.html. Where is said that 11 Strand is the HQ of all MBDA ? Of course a specialist of MBDA like you won't dare to ask what Cassidian is ? 92.133.241.158 (talk) 23:25, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is an interesting one... the links in the most recent post above don't cover this at all... I've done some digging and cannot find any source pointing to company HQ location. Looking at the main MBDA website they make no mention of an HQ location, and simply point to sites in France, Britain, Italy and Germany. France is a SAS, UK is a LTD, presumably Germany is a GmbH and Italy is a SAS, this does not indicate precedence of any nation over the other for ownership/management. The BAES ownership is equal to the EADS/CASSIDIAN ownership, so that does not indicate precedence. Suggest that until a reputable source can be found that says "site x is the headquarters of all of MBDA" and this isn't contradicted by other reputable sources, then this page should include all the national HQs or none of them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.161.212.40 (talk) 23:28, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Updating article information

[edit]

Hi,

I work in the media relations team at MBDA. Some of the information in this MBDA article is a little out-of-date. Editing it myself would be a conflict of interest, so I have listed some of the updates here with some references, and wondered if editors of this page thought they would be useful to include?

HQs: I note the previous talk discussions on this and I think the current resolution works well, and we now have one in Madrid. [1]

CEO: Eric Beranger has now replaced Antoine Bouvier. [2]

Revenue: 2018 revenue details are available. It is now 3.2bn euros. [3]

Employees: This figure is now at >11,000. [4]

Divisions: MBDA Germany (Deutschland GmbH) is a national company within the MBDA group rather than a division and MBDA Inc. is a subsidiary. [5]

Subsidiaries: These are: MBDA Inc, Matra Electronique, Bayern-Chemie, TDW [6] and GDI Simulation [7]

Thanks for reading, and any feedback is appreciated. I’d be happy to work with Wikipedia editors further on updating the article’s content (history/products etc.) if you are interested.

Kind regards,

Jon at MBDA Media Relations (talk) 14:33, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Jon at MBDA Media Relations: I made the changes. Not sure about the divisions/national company classification. The template allows only for "divisions". --McSly (talk) 17:22, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
